BBoy BBQ @ Mozarts Plads (08-20 2011)

From the very first moment I heard about the BBoy BBQ event going down at Mozarts Plads, I was hyped! A whole day full of hip-hop... Could it possibly get any better?

The man behind it all, a friend of mine, Brandon, asked me to bring my camera. These are the 10 best shots, the rest of the series can be seen here on Facebook.

New Camera: Canon EOS 50D

I just upgraded from my 350D to a 50D (+ battery grip!) - and wow, what a difference. I bought it from my big brother, and got a 50mm f/1.8 lens for cheap from Mike, a classmate of mine. New gear makes it that much more fun to grab the camera and play around... Which is what I did here! The following are pretty much just some random snapshots from my 'hood. More after the jump.

Roskilde Festival 2011! (Analog)

This summer, I went to Roskilde Festival for the first time in my life. Crazy week, lovely people, good music, lots of beer, hot weather (tho it rained like hell during the last days)... What's not to love? ;) I brought my old, analog Pentax K1000 (which used to be my dad's) and 4 film.

It was a lot of hard work to get them developed (thanks for helping me, Philip!), but I ended up with about 100 pictures - the 30 best of which can be seen here! It does indeed bring back memories, doesn't it? VIEW THE WHOLE SERIES AFTER THE JUMP!

School Assignment: Astrid Kruse Jensen

In the week after my Dazeley project, we recieved a very similar assignment at school. We had to find a Danish, internationally acclaimed photographer and then take 3 photos ourselves, inspired by his/her work. I browsed the internet and came across the young, artistic photographer Astrid Kruse Jensen.

I looked through her gallery and found it very cool, something I would try to do myself. So I went out late at night with my flatmate, Philip Overbuary, and got these shots. The first three were the ones I chose for the assignment, but after the jump you'll find a couple more.

School Assignment: Dazeley

A couple of weeks ago at school, a new assignment was given to us. We were asked to find an internationally known photographer that we like and print 6 of his/her photos, which we then discussed and viewed in class.

It was then our job to - as accurately as possible - recreate 3 of that photographer's photos. They would then be exhibited and viewed on Friday in the same week.

I chose Peter Dazeley, a well acclaimed British photographer, known for his vibrant advertising photos. Shown first is the originals, then the pictures I did. It was a very fun and learnful experience and I can only recommend other aspiring photographers to try the same. :)

Susanna in the Studio!

I had Susanna in the studio for her to help me with my Dazeley project (pix comin' up!). Didn't really intend to do it, but once she was there, we decided to try with some beauty shots. Just got done editing them, I think they turned out quite alright! :) Makes me happy to have her as my girlfriend...

Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix 2011 (08-07)

On a boring Sunday morning, my old friend Tobias called me and told me that he had an extra ticket for the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix - and he asked me to join him and his girlfriend there! Being a racing fan, that was an offer I couldn't refure, so I grabbed a shower and my camera and was out the door. These are some of the best pictures from the day. It's pretty much my first attempt at racing photography, but it's a genre I really like and I'd like to try again.

An Afternoon with Grandma

On the last Friday in my summer holidays, I went to see my grandparents in Høng, together with Susanna. My grandmother began playing a bit of piano, to which me and Susanna danced. :) I managed to grab this photo...

A Hot Summer Day with Susanna (August 2011)

On one of the (very few) hot days this summer, I had planned a day with surprises and nice things for my girlfriend, Susanna. To perpetuate the day and make it completely unforgettable, I'd brought my camera with me. We edited the pictures together and went for the "natural summer beauty" look. Enjoy! :)
See more hot summer pictures after the jump...

Slam Nation @ StreetMekka (08-02 2011)

A couple of the guys of the Slam Nation crew (including Kadour Ziani) visited Denmark in the beginning of August.

On an ordinary Tuesday night, Emil Olszewsk (Poland) did some very extraordinary dunks at Copenhagen's streetball palace, StreetMekka. Pleasure meeting you guys, btw! :)

For a little demonstration of what these guys can do, take a look at this!

MORE PICTURES AFTER THE JUMP!

Kadour Ziani @ StreetMekka (08-01 2011)

My friend Radek wrote me on Facebook that Kadour Ziani would be coming to Copenhagen. Knowing who he was, I didn't hesitate to go to StreetMekka, armed with my camera. Unfortunately though, Kadour was injured that day, so he couldn't play or do some of his downright nasty dunks. I did get some pictures of him though, and getting to meet one of the greatest dunkers of all time was truely something special. If you don't know who he is, check this out...

A Day in July

When looking through my blog, it may seem like I've been busy all the time... Well, I've done a lot of stuff, but I did also have time to relax. One of the best ways to relax is with someone who's close to you - and this particular day, I spent with my girlfriend. We went out to see a jazz concert (can't remember with whom) at Café Blågårds Apotek, Nørrebro and had a genuinly lovely day.

Roskilde Festival 2011 (June-July)

I attended Roskilde Festival for the first time this year... And man, what a week! It's something you have to experience in order to understand. But I can only say that I'll most likely be back next year. ROCK ON!!! The picture was taken using my girlfriend's Canon IXUS. I brought my old analogue DSLR to the festival, those pictures will be coming up later.

Street GAM3 @ Ringparken, Slagelse (06-18 2011)

The organization GAM3 hired me to cover two days of their Street GAM3 tour around Denmark. Street GAM3 is an event where professional basketball coaches and dancers teach children how to boogie, all while DJ's spin the dopest hip-hop tracks. It was a fun thing to be a part of. Here are the 10 best from the last of the two days (more after the jump).

24 Hours of Le Mans 2011 (Morten's Pictures)

My big brother went to Le Mans this year to see the annual 24 hour race. He brought his EOS 400D and shot over a thousand pictures! Some of the pictures were taken at night time, the best of which can be seen here. They're completely untouched, directly from camera to Blogspot.
